myself and 2 friends played ryton on tuesday 16th march 2010 and although it is still very early in the season i thought the course was in good condition generally and the greens were some of the best i have been on this year! the course is very tight in places with out of bounds running along many of the holes so accuaracy is of prime importance off the tee. its not a long course but i can imagine how strageic it will be in the summer when the trees are in full bloom and closing in on the already tight fairways. we played for the bargain price of £10 each which was in my opinion a fantastic offer and i wouldnt hesitate in playing the course again. the only hole which i found slightly strange was the par 3 7th which has fern trees growing between the tee box and the green, which basically makes it a blind shot into a very undulating green. i cant really see why the trees are there so if i had my way i would have them cut down. good views, and friendly staff and members only added to the day and if your in the area its well worth a knock at a superb price. overall rating 7 out of 10.

Played on Tuesday 16 March 2010. My first visit to Ryton and certainly not my last. This is a good track to play, some tight holes and daunting shots await you! The only downfall at times is the cross over of tee shots to fairways where you have greens from previous holes in very close proximity! could be lots of Fore shouts on a very busy day. But definetly a course to play and a one i will be back too

not a long course ,but one interesting fact is there are 12 or 13 holes where you can be out of bounds from the tee.

This course is simply spectactular, with a friendly atmosphere, and when i was there i noticed that they had a junior club champion, and he give me a lesson on the range, then i had a round of golf with him he was spectacular, and he shot a 65 of the yellow tees. His name was lee gibson. A must course to play
