Sidmouth Golf Club

We were really impressed by the views and lay-out of the course and the greens were in outstanding condition. Playing in the height of the summer meant most tee shots had to be aimed wide left of the sloping fairways with little chance of holding the ball there - a 100 foot plus roll into poor lies was poor reward for accurate tee shots. A return in the Autumn would probably be more rewarding and less frustrating! We found the short 4th frustrating (don't go left), the 8th a real uphill test, loved the second shot on the 9th, swooned at the views on the 10th and enjoyed the challenges on the par3 11th and 12th. The Club had an exclusive air about it and, played in twilight, was surprisingly empty. We will try again.

played sidmouth on a beautiful sunny day found the course quirky and the greens like lightining, the view from the 10th was breath taking. The par3 stroke index 2 11th a real test of length and accuracy,all the holes not being too long but a good test of golfing ability. Would recommend to anyone in the area to go and play.
