Solent Meads Golf Club

A proper par 3 links golf course with holes between 100 and 200 yards in length. They rent clubs (old and battered) so it's popular with dads and lads and holidaying families. Course maintenance isn't great bit the greens are okay. That said, I always enjoy our rounds here - you can get round in 90 minutes and we've always managed to play at a good pace. It's an excellent way to practice your short game and when the wind gets up it can be a real challenge to make par on the long holes. Last time we played the wind was howling and on the longest hole (about 200 yards)it was right in your face - tough hole! Think for the conditions of the course and facilities on offer that it's a couple of pounds over priced but it's a holiday resort.

A good course for new players and practising your short game. Nice views of Christchurch harbour & Abbey. Holes ronge from 58 yards to 190 yards. Greens could be better in dry weather but a good variety of holes considering the distance.
