I have to say I have noticed a deterioration in the standard of the course over last 2/3 years with greens and fairways becoming tatty and unkempt. A little overpriced for what it is and there are much better courses around. The par 5 recor holding hole is a bit of a joke as is all down a fairly steep mountain

Altough we enjoyed our round of golf I felt that at £28 it didn't represent value for money. This is the same rate as for summer green fees and altough the course was very playable we were playing off the mats or temporary tees. Will maybe return in the summer, but not in the winter.

Very good value and welcoming course. A fairly quiet start regards difficulty (although some cleverly located water hazards come into play on some of the early valley holes). Then the enjoyable and more undulating last 12 holes include a tricky approach shot to the 7th, the best four holes come in the last five. The 14th is a short but tight par 3, the 15th is my favourite hole, a long'ish par 4 with a tough drive and approach to a green set into the hillside. The 17th is 'that' hole, dont take a wood off the tee unless you're attempting to cut the corner, the club for the second depends on conditions and could be anything in the bag (nb : hope your buggy has good brakes coming down the slope). The 18th is a short par 4, don't miss the green right or the clubhouse awaits. Greens okay, enjoyable course and a cheap day out!

What a find ! If you are in Devon you have to play this course ! - and that 500 yd hole is great ! 5 iron to the dog leg then 7 iron down a steep slope & even a high handicaper is on the green in 2 - but watch the drop over the back ! As for the staff, all I can say is that having played in the U.S. and Holland aswell as the UK I have never been made to feel this welcome as a first time golfer. The professional even made a point of talking through the course before I went out - great service ! I WILL be back !!
