We played the Langdon and Bulphan loops this weekend and really enjoyed it. The fairways are generous and the rough was playable. Apart from the occasional ditch and a few lakes, it would be very difficult to lose a ball! The views of the surrounding countryside were really spectacular.

Course that has continually improved over the years particularly the last 4 or so. Make sure you play the Langdon and Bulphan loops if you can. It is possible to post a decent score and you don't have to be massive of the tee either. All in, pretty good and unrecognisable from a few years back.

nice course to play. Been up there for a few twilights this summer. Good value at £10. Made mistake of playing the Horndon nine, thinking we'd do that quickest as has shortest yardage thus beating night fall. Hmmmm any wayward tee shots we hit took us ages to find in the heavy rough if we found them at all. Played the Bulphan nine next round. Didn't take us as long. Maybe we played better but I doubt it. My brother smashed a 320 yard drive on the 11th. Didn't shut up about it. Took a bogey though, but still wouldn't shut up. He got his at the 14th though, sticking 3 tee shots in the drink. Tough hole the 'braveheart'. I found this very funny but the people waiting behind didn't. Nor did my brother. Oh well at this point you can just about see the clubhouse and the pint of beer that awaits you on the 19th.

I first played at this course (Langdon/Bulphan) in April 2006, and discovered the tees, fairways, greens and bunkers were all in pristine condition. The tees looked like fairways, superb short green grass, and flat aswell. The fairways were cut tight and there were no bare patches, also the divots were filled in. The greens rolled true and are very fast. There are also a lot of water hazards around, meaning strategic shots are needed throughout the course. A great course for people of all abilities. Forget the course information, the green fee is £25 for adults on weekdays, and there are no junior rates. Also visitors (non-members) can only play on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a great course which is much reccomended. - Richard Cook

just played langdon hills after 3yrs absence, very surprised how the course has changed. more water hazards, greens were superb considering all the recent rain, facilities, club house and welcome were just as we remembered. all credit to the greenkeeper and staff for a really good days golf. would highly recommend to anyone.

I have been a member at this Course for just over 12 Months and I must say the Work which the Green staff have carried out over the year outstanding. There have been many features added including a pond in the front of the stroke index 1 (15th Hole), the improvements overall have now made this course both enjoyable and troublesome in places.

HOLES 19 - 27 ONLY Newish course of c.4yrs (ex-farmland), with clean and professional look. Well laid out on gently undulating landscape with good views of the Thames Estury, Kent coastline and on a good day the City of London. The course is well suited to a higher handicap with its wide fairways and few and shallow bunkers and slightly undulating greens. May not be challenging enough for a low handicap, although the thick rough, full of undergrowth on some holes, looks very unpleasant! 02 July 2000
