Had a good time and the staff were great. If I hadn't played Ballybunion and Lahinch first, I think I would have found this course very good. If you need to start a golf vacation, I would start here first. The course takes you out to 9 then brings you back in to 18. To get the feel of links golf this is where I would start. To get the real rush would be to play Lahinch and Ballybunion last.
This well-known course has great finishing holes and fewer blind shots than other links courses. Staff and members are the most hospitable you could hope to encounter. Lunch was good.
Deceptively tough course, especially during Irish summer (wind, rain, hangover!). Some classic holes, links feel, although no more than 15-20 mins. from Grafton St. Some industrial backdrop is regrettable, but members great - good visitors facilities, but I'd have lunch/dinner in Dublin if I were you.
