The Wirral Ladies’ Golf Club Ltd

Our small society played 27 holes at Wirral Ladies in early January 2012. Our visit was very competitively priced (although I'm not sure I'd pay full summer green fees) and the course was in great condition after some terrible weather in the days prior. The greens in particular were excellent for the time of year. The course is short (no par 5s) and for the most part not too penal. Some of the approaches to the greens are really attractive with dense trees all around. We all agreed that it's almost the perfect venue for winter golf. Our full english breakfast in the clubhouse was excellent and the club pro was very helpful. The only slight downer was (male) members complaining that we were a couple of minutes late on the tee. Well worth a visit.

Played course as part of my club's away day. Really enjoyed it. Tight and very varied holes. Many sections of the course feel like seaside links, and you need to be keeping to the fairways with your drives - placement above length I would suggest. Greens were immaculate, and general consensus among large group that played was that it had been an excellent round. Very pleasant meal served afterwards, by friendly and relaxed staff. Will definitely visit again

Not the longest of course"s but well looked after,with enough decent holes to keep you interested,It"s just a pity that some of the member"s could"nt take a leaf out of the club professional"s book an show some hospitality towards visitor"s. Danny

Great course love it one of the best courses around. Short, but get the old taylormade driver out and your lookin at some good scores.

I short but interesting course - always enjoyable, not least as if you are willing to have a go with a driver on tight holes then soem real birdie opportunities. Plays like a seaside course with heather and gorse.
