Played here on 5th July and even though this is a local course to me and I play here relatively frequently, I cannot remember the course ever having been in such good condition. The fairways were great and the greens running absolutely true. Considering the almost constant rain for the previous 6 weeks, I think that the staff have been doing a fantastic job. If I have any criticism at all, it's that the bunkers could do with clearing out and restocking with some decent sand - but I seem to have this gripe about most courses I play at the moment! Upchurch has its critics, but I've always enjoyed playing there and I think that it offers very good value for money - especially if you're playing mideweek.

Upchurch is often known across the county for how dangerous it is; the fairways and greens whch back on to each other. However i am here to say that although upchurch has been criticised for all this it is a great course for all handicappers. I know 36 handicappers and 2 handicappers that continue to play upchurch. it is a fun course with some beautiful holes wih tee boxes set 50m above the green; Par 3 11th hole in which the green is safely guarded by bumkers. A superb test for all levels of golfer. Some days it can play a 9 iron and some days a 5 wood. Try it yourself.

I've played upchurch twice now and it is amazing how much a few countour changes can create such a challenging and spectacular golf course. My favourite hole is the 176 yard 11th with a raised tee about 50 meters above the green with bunkers creating a path to the green and around the green itself. Its one of the greatest par 3's ive ever played and if it was flat it would be a replica of the 17th at royal st georges.

One Word- QUALITY!!

Upchurch is a very well layed out course with enough to challenge ant type of golpher. The third is a really challenging 200 yards plus par 3. The facilities around the course are nice which include driving range and a putting green. Front nine tends to be more difficult than the back but over all a very nice course, especially at the low prices.

I am a relative beginner at golf and I am learning fast and this course is absolutely ideal for me. I am only 15 and at weekends or in the school holidays like to go and have a round with my friends and this is our local 18 hole course as it is near my home in Sittingbourne. The course is kept very nicely and the facilitys here are absolutely tremendous. I ususally shoot around 95 on this course and I find the back nine alittle easier than the front nine. My favorite hole is the 11th, a par 3 downhill, with the green in 7 iron distance, Overall this is my favorite course.

A good course for mid handicappers first hole blind from the tee but once over the top of the hill a easy second shoot to the green, course mangement a must to get the best out of the course all greens are fast but will hold the ball can be hard work on a windy day and just as hard on a hot day buggy advisable unless you have good legs, good putting green to pratise on before playing gives you a true feel for the greens on the course and for the price it a must to play
