Played here at the end of September '09 and had a whale of a time. The clubhouse was shut, but as it's a sparsley pouplated island I guess there is no need for it to be opened most days. The links course is situated on the most narrow part of the island so you have wonderful beaches on either side of this lovely 9 hole course. The view from the 4th tee is phenomonal, as are some of the other tee views. There are no hazards such as bunkers or trees on the course but the natural contours of the course provide more than enough dangers to the average golfer like me. There are cattle which wander around the course and as such the greens are fenced off, but not in a way which is prohibitive to your golf (local rules state that any ball striking the stakes or wires is to be replayed without penalty). There is no real rough, only the wispy rough which is all over the island. The tees are fairly good, the fairways excellent and the greens are as good as can be expected. I played this course with my girlfriend early one Saturday morning and there was not one other soul on it for the whole round (a surprising 75, if anyone's interested LOL!). It was heaven, and how I imagine golf was meant to be played when they invented it all those years ago. The weather was cloudy and grey, but in my heart the sun was splitting the trees! Thoroughly recommended.
