Hugh Jorgan. Played Wheatley for the first time with my golf society in october. Arrived at the club to a nice reception from the pro who had a very well stocked shop with nice lighting, (im an electrician). The course was in decent condition for the time of year and has some lovely holes and good bunkering. I have a couple of friends who need a buggy to play so was a bit disappointed that this service is not available (get in the 21st century). Food after was very good and overall we had a great day and were made to feel very welcome by all. Won a prize also so made my day even better and exchanged it in shop for pro v1 balls.

Played 23/11/07 and the course is in fantastic fettle. The greens were quick and true, fairways perfect(when i found 1) and the all round presentation spot on. The course is very tight, wayward tee shots get punished, especially now with the leaves on the ground!!! The greens took a ball perfectly. The food after was also spot on. The cost, brilliant, £25 with the food.

The course is tight, punishing any wayward drives. The greens, although a little 'scaby' were quick and took a ball very well. The fairways were lush. The holes were testing and it was a true challenge of golf-better if you know the course. My only criticism is that there is no stroke saver but with the colour coded pin positions on the flags and the distance on the sprinkler heads to the front, middle and back it is only a very minor setback. The food was delicious and the staff friendly.

Play our captains away day here and it was a pleasure. The pro set the day off well with his wecome to the club. The catering was good and not fancy. The course, well the first nine is alright but nothing to write home about but the back nine is a real test of skill with memorable holes. The hole course was in very good condition with fast true greens, the green staff have done well!

just played this course as part of a works team and am very happy having not played it before managed a 97 in very cold frosty conditions playing on temp greens . have to say like the fact u dont have to tee up on fairways as it always feels like im cheating i will return to this course in the summer when on main greens but over all the course looks in great nick even with weather we have had last week keep up good work

the course has suffered of late due to a lack of water and some dubious greenkeeping practices.the fronts of greens are particularly bad.

Played Wheatley GC 2 years ago and was very suprised at how good it was, layout and condition wise. True test of golf, some interesting holes, nice club house with down to earth and friendly people

GREAT COURSE IN GREAT CONDITION. VERY MATURE WITH FAIRWAYS DIVIDED BY LARGE MATURE TREES. FAIRWAYS/GREENS IN PRISTINE CONDITION. A GOOD TEST OF GOLF. SHOP HAS LARGE CHOICE LARGE BAR AREA. VERY GOOD FOOD AT REASONABLE PRICE. IF VISITOR ITS WORTH PAYING £30 FOR DAY TICKET (MIDWEEK) RATHER THAN £25 PER ROUND
