I have played a few bad courses before, but this was by far the worst. Get your drivers out on the green they are that slow, not sure who works here and what they do.... I hope to never have to play this course again. Par 3's where you aim for marker posts? pretty standard ehh?

I played the course in September and it was in good condition the bunkers had new sand in and greens run as any top course. i was amazed at the £15,00 day ticket and the food was real home cooking and value for money. looks like a up and coming venture with the new owners and the place and views are amazing. Played yesterday (12/10/06) and quite simply enjoyed the best value for money course in the area, I have played many 'pay and play' courses around the country and have never come across one in such fantastic condition. I have also played many £30+ members courses which have been much worse experiences. From 200+ par 3's to drivable par 4's, water on the parkland holes and deep rough on the heathland this course has every sort of challenge for every golfer, I highly reccomend playing of the white tees for a better experience. Its courses and prices like this that makes golf really come alive, a visit is highly recommended.

A thoroughly enjoyable course to play.very traditional front nine with a parkland style back nine(obviously extended at some point).Whilst only playing the course once a year i couldnt comment on the state of it in winter but it has always been in excellent condition when I have visited. The contrast in styles challenges every part of you game.

I have just taken up a membership at this course which has cost me £195 for 14 months. I played the course as a vsitor and decided that I wanted to play there every week. The course has excellent views and is in quite good condition considering its winter. The winter greens are quite good and it is a good test of a golfers ability. My favourite hole would be the 383 yard par 4 5th, which can be reached in one with a good solid 3 iron to the correct part of the fairway allowing it to skip down the hill to the green. I enjoy every round i play there and very rarely lose a ball from a good shot which is all too regular an occurance on other courses. Highly recommended.

We played this course when we visited a friend in the Stoke area. What an enjoyable course with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. The course is both challenging and very enjoyable at the same time. I would recommend a buggy to those less active players. The holes are all imaginative with well laid out bunkers and a whole list of obstacles from lakes to old stone walls.

On playing the course on 2/8/02 I would like to reccommend the following:- 1) Cut the greens as they appeared to slow, although they may have been left uncut due to the previous bad weather. 2. Place maker posts behind any greens on par 3 holes that cannot be seen from the teeing area (specifically Hole 6)

for a short course this is quite tough and one which has changed over the years and got much easier although you may find the green you have to find the right part of the green or it is only too easy to three putt. worth a visit.
