From the half mile long driveway, past the stunning mansion to the honesty box in the temporary "clubhouse" and onto the golf course proper, this is great golf far from the madding crowds of nearby Edinburgh. If you get more than 5 cars in the car park you've come on a busy day! The 9-hole layout on generally dog leg holes plays around the mansion house and a two ponds. Holes of note include the 5th, tucked into a lovely corner of the course and the par-3, 8th over a huge ravine from tee to green will last long in the mind.
