I would say this course is one of the best in Nottinghamshire, it's in a good setting of mature trees in parkland. The tight turf fast greens and friendly staff means this course is a must. It's first seven holes are nice and good quality but then the rest are fantastic with a great mix of holes.
Excellent course, played first week of March and paid £22 for the round which was outstanding value. Greens in good condition for the time of year and played of full tees. The scenery makes it worth the visit alone, and as you play holes 12, 13 and 14 you are accompained by roaming deer while Wollaton Hall stands proudly by. A course that favours the bigger hitter as the majority of the par fours are a good distance and with the rough being quite tame at this time of year you can afford to be slightly off line. No problem finding your ball in the rough which ensured a round of less than three hours, as it should be. The clubhouse was in keeping with the course and the service was very good. All in all a very enjoyable round of golf on a mature and well laid out course, would definitley recommend.
Played summer 05, warm evening Cracking course, very traditional club house. Straight drivers will do well. Hooked a few too many on my visit and was duly punished. Heathland course with some stunning views. very enjoyable and reasonable value for money. Best course in South Notts
