Re-developed by Roger Jones in 2007, this course has a distinct estuarial style. Water features prominantly on many holes and has attracted an abundance of wild life These features have been re-modelled to reward good shots and punish only very errant ones. The superb greens are amongst the best you will find anywhere and many are elevated. The previously very open aspect has now been replaced with expertly positioned mounding, shrubbery and meadowgrass areas to clearly separate all fairways. There are no hidden agendas as all bunkers are in view whether you are teeing off or approaching greens. An altogether enjoyable experience that is great value for money and well worth a visit.
A very long course, featuring some very demanding holes - a semi-links feel to the course. Although requiring distance off the tee, many of the fairways are reasonably generous. A number of daunting tee shots face you, but accuracy is rewarded. Exceptionally good value for IR£13 on weekdays.
