The course is definitely a find and we shall go back but when the pro [the senior one I think] has his day off. Having been kept waiting some 15 minutes for a buggy my 75 year old mate went in and enquired about when it may be available. The charmer behind the counter asked if we were in a hurry. {surely that should have been 'sorry to keep you I will see to it -or something similar]. I pointed out that it was not a question of hurry but a need for good service. At this point he invited us to get out of his shop. We pointed out how cold it was to be hanging around outside [at our age] but to no avail. Some 30 minutes later we got the buggy. I had proceeded to the practice putting green. In my absence this character asked my buddy who I was and where I came from! Can you believe it. Why didn't he have the guts to ask me direct? Why involve my chum? Simple, like most bullies he was a coward!

I was in the area for buisness, and called in to see if i could play a round as a one ball. I had not booked a tee time, and when I arrived it was early afternoon. The car park was full and I was worried it might not work out. When I went to the Pro shop, I was warmly welcomed, and told that there were a number of seniors out on the course, but I was good to go as they had gone out early, and should have no delays. I really enjoyed the course, and as a player with a generous handicap was delighted to be able to cope with it and get a number of pars. Some lovely holes were found, particularly the 3rd and 4th the 9th and the 13th. There were two generous par 5's (which only gave me one birdie), and the 18th was a tempting delightful par 3 which encourages the player to go for it! I caught up with a four ball on a couple of holes and was asked to play through which was nice of them. My only grumble was hiring an electric trolley that died on the 13th, and when I told the pro he shrugged his shoulders and offered a half hearted apology. I had a drink in the club after my round and enjoyed a good chat with the bar steward, and thouroughly enjoyed my afternoon and would recommend the course to any visiting golfer who may be passing Bewdley. Given the time I arrived, and mid week, my round cost £12 which was great value.

Very easy course with only a couple of tough par 4s, Par 3s are ok though, but Par 5s are ridiculously easy, first par 5 (1) is a drive and a 5/6 iron second par 5 (11) is a drive and a wedge as long as you hit down the left half of the fairway if you hit it up the right semi rough then you are left with a 5 iron second, greens are very slow to putt on but very firm to pitch into, this is probably intentional to try and make it harder, the greenstaff have now decided to let the rough grow knee high to try and make the course harder, very little grass on the fairways. Clubhouse is fine and all the staff including the Pro are very friendly. Probably a good course for seniors and beginners.

Difficult to find much information about this course - there is no website and it's not even listed in the AA golf guide (as far as I could see). No matter - really lovely course and very welcoming members, who made a point of allowing me to play through as a one-ball. Though it looks short it's by no means easy for the high handicapper - there are several ridiculously tight holes threading their way through a small valley. The fairway of the par 4 3rd seems to be only a few feet wide and the next hole, called aptly the Snake because it winds around so much, is even narrower. You return to this densely-wooded part of the course for the par 3 14th, where you have to be straight or your ball disappears into the trees and you're playing three of the tee (as I did). The rough was difficult when I visited but I'm told it gets much worse. The final hole is a good finisher - a generous par 3 to a green just below the clubhouse. Members looked discretely away when, having just missed the green, I thinned my chip and three putted for a 5.

Very friendly welcome in pro shop, we arrived on a thursday (no tee time booking required)and went straight to 1st tee no waiting. The course has some great holes with some wonderful views and character. Look out for the 3rd hole very picturesque but tight, the 4th is amazing (The snake)and the 14th Gorse valley (wrecked my card) all very challenging but superb to play. The only gripe about this course for me are that there are 4 consecutive courtesy holes where there is really no need, oh yes and the last hole is a par 3 188 downhill back to clubhouse with the green being quite close to the clubhouse and I thought a little offputting having to aim right just in case a gust of wind were to take the ball and crash into the windows! there's a couple of tile missing off clubhouse roof so I guess it has happend! Anyway these points should not deter anyone to play the course as I will certainly be going back again £17.00 weekdays, no 241 accepted but still good value, a cracking round of golf.

hi, i have very recently become a member of bewdley pines. As i am a beginer golfer it it a fairly difficult course to learn on. To be honest i dont thing that is that difficult, you just have to be an accurate shot! As there are trees every where such as on the 3rd and 4th hole. Although the 4th, also known as the snake, is quite tight i managed to hit my 4 iron onto the edge of the green. it is a fab course and you should try it.

well!!for £20 on weekends it doesnt get much better than bewdley pines a great!!course to play and can be a hard one. my favourite holes have to be the 1st and 13th, the 1st is for big hitters, get it rite and ur on the green for two, the 13th has to b perfect or you are in real trouble.good course good fairways good greens, most enjoyable.one of the best in worcestershire

I play alot of courses in this area and do travel away to courses in wales and around other regions in england. This course is fantastic both to the eye and to play it is the most challenging of courses and is a pleasure to walk round. From the moment you tee off you are in for one of the longest holes on the course its a par 5 and some say it is the best chance of an eagle but i beg to differ. There are breathtaking holes on the course such as the snake which tests your driving skills to the max one mistake can leave you in a lot of trouble, there is also the most fantastic par 3 i have played on any course with no room for error and a visual delight. All tho the holes are short in length they are very testing and a delight to play,in all this course is well worth the £20 you pay to play it and the best 4 hours i have spent playing.

The first is one of the easiest par 5s you will ever play, & offers high handicappers their best chance of an elusive eagle! The 3rd & 4th, both par 4s, are short but very tight & visually spectacular, along with the par 3 on the back nine. Great fun, good greens, & not overly long, & always a warm welcome in the bar & the pro shop. Excellent value at only £20 a round on Sundays! Can't wait to play it again!
