just played this course for the first time. I am absolutlely delighted with this course, especially for this time of year, the only problem was trying to find where the fairways ended and the greens started, it was in such good condition that you could almost put from 50yrds out. the course is definetly one i would recomend to anyone who likes a challenging course, but would also suit the higher handicapper
Just played braehead for the first time last weekend with 20 other members of our club, no words can describe the hospitality we were given and the friendliness of members, catering staff, pro shop staff, bar staff and a big thank you to Anne Nash club secretary for looking after our boys,as for the course it was great despite the weather conditions we had on our first round despite the lads being a bit damp they considered the course to be that good they had to try it again and the sun shone. thanks to all and hope to see you again in the near future.
We played the course in August 2001, with a friend who was visiting from Western Australia. Everyone from the pro to the bar staff went out of their way to ensure that we had an enjoyable day. The course is well maintained, with stunning views, and although not too difficult it was an excellent test of golf. Braehead is one place I will definitely return to one day, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to all golf lovers.
Described to me as the friendliest of Golf Clubs I found this to be a really accurate statement. From my arrival at Pro Shop until my departure I was impressed by the attitude of the Professioal, the Members the Bar and Catering staff and the Greenstaff. A nice Parkland setting with beautiful views I found the course well maintained and apart from one short stiff climb, fairly easy to traverse but not so easy to play. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and would reccomend this course as well worth the price.
Nice course. Worth a visit just for the view from the ninth fairway over the Forth Valley. Not too difficult for the low handicapper; a good enjoyable, playable test for the average club golfer. Very good club-house facilities.
