I played the course today, and had a very enjoyable round. The first couple of holes are quite a climb, but enjoyable. After the third you start playing back down the way. The fifth hole is an excellent par 3 at 209 yards. Playing from an elevated tee to a green tight to the boundary. Another great hole is the seventh, a par four again from an elevated tee and a good chance to go for the green. The condition of the golf course was very good with the greens in particular well kept. Overall, good course, great views and friendly members.
Played today. A Short hilly course with climbs for the first two before two holes on a plateau and then a drop back down with 1 more climb at the 8th. The first is an uphill par 3 of 223 yards with a stone wall about 25/30 yards short of the green. Anyone who gets a 3 here can be very pleased with themself. A really tough par 3. The presentation of the course was of a very high standard and the greens particularly were in great condition. All mown to a standard short length and running fast - you did not want to be on the high side of the hole putting downhill. The views on a good day from the 3rd & 5th tees are fantastic. Make sure you play this on a dry/bright day to get the benefit of the views. Green fee was £15 for 18 holes although you can pay £10 for 9 holes but only after 4 p.m. Well worth a visit.
