good range but need new balls. Tees pretty good, fairways ok and rough quite thick. Greens were great and there were some nice long wide holes. Can get very busy and some holes were a little bland.

I played this course for the first time this weekend and i was very impressed, for the money this really is superb. The course was in decent condition and the greens pretty good. My only gripe was that for someone who hadnt played the course before the directions between holes wasnt that great. I will be returning again. thanks.

I have been playing Caerleon Golf Course for some 12 years. It is perfect for that evening freindly or a weekend knock. The introduction of tee off times has all but eliminated the 2 hour queue that there used to be on the first tee on a sunny afternoon. It is a fairly easy course for anybody who plays off 12 or under. If you play off any more than that there are a couple of holes that are a reasonable challenge. In summary it is a good all round course and considering the amount of use it gets it is kept in good condition. Well worth the green fee for 18 holes. The club house has recently undergone a major refurbishment and the bar area is minimalist but comfortable and offers a decent selection of food at very reasonable prices.

An improving municipal course now being run by club members. Can be very busy so booking a tee off time in advance is essential. Quite a flat course, but the wayward drive will not be rewarded as the rough can be quite thick. Natural tree lines on two holes also create an interesting challenge.
