I have played the course regularly and it's in the best condition ever, the new green staff certainly know what they are doing, the greens are superb. The staff are friendly and welcoming, great value, highly recomended

I play this course regularly and find the condition superb. The fairways are always good. The greens have improved greatly and now can be played all year. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Great value for money.

What a dump. Greens bumpy. Rough wet and muddy. Tees uneven. Save your money and play elsewhere. It's a shame as it looks nice from the driveway in.

I have not been to cherry lodge for a few years, and i must say i was not looking forward to it. But i proved to be a fantastic track, much work had been done. Greens rolled so well and the overall course was in great shape. much tree work had been done and i must say all the areas apart from the rough was in great condition. the rough was wet and heavy, but a ok length. nice track i will be back

A good course with a number of interesting holes, and when I played it today the fairways and greens were in a really playable condition. This was despite the rain for about half of the round! It's main defence is the length of the holes, as the course is just under 6400 from the yellows. There are really only about 5 or 6 holes that are the sorts of length that you'd expect to par. Fortunately, to give you a chance on the longer holes there are a number of them where you can 'open your shoulders' without risking the loss of your ball. I wasn't too sure about the quality of the sand in the two bunkers I went into, but they are hazards so I suppose it's only fair they were like that. While I wasn't able to stop for a drink, the clubhouse looks really cozy and welcoming inside, and I certainly wouldn't object to playing here again.

This course is wonderful value at the £12 twilight rate. I played in a strong east wind which made club selection difficult and the 573 yard 10th very long indeed. The condition of the course was generally good with the exception of the bunkers which were poor (lack of sand and too many stones). The course would benefit from some tighter driving holes but the course still requires the use of most clubs in the bag. There are some excellent holes (4,5,8,14,16) while the 281 yard 18th is a splendid final hole. The sensible player may well play a rescue club to the right of the fairway leaving a straightforward pitch but the thrill of avoiding the large pond on the left and trying to drive the green will be irresistble to many. I shall certainly be returning when no doubt different wind conditions will mean a different set of challenges. dde coro

Played Cherry Lodge twice in the last month through one of the online tee booking sites. Both times we hit bad weather, but must say the course held up well. The par3s are all tough and a couple of long par5s. The fairways were good and the greens were a nice pace. Everyone we met in the clubhouse and the pro shop were very helpful and seemed glad we were there. At £15 may well be making a few more trips this summer.

I played here on a Wednesday afternoon with a member and was therefore excellent value for money. We had the course almost to ourselves and were round in just over three hours. An excellent course with some very nice holes. My only gripe was the netting placed to the front left of the stroke index 1 fourteenth, this I understand is there to protect a house from sliced tee shots, which is fair enough, but it makes for a very intimidating tee shot and has resulted in the tee box being very badly worn on the lefthand side. The clubhouse is slightly dated but very friendly all the usual facilities are available.

Played this course today as a visitor for £20 and was very pleased with my choice of course. On arrival the club Pro was very welcoming and was willing to let us wait for the rain to stop and then go off the tenth rather than insisting we go off the first in a particulary nasty shower. In spite of three days of heavy rain, only two temporary greens in play and this was due to ongoing drainage work. The course itself was very interesting with some great approach shots on the par fours and as a previous correspondent noted, you really do use every club in the bag. Not the most punishing course for a wayward tee shot however and i think a couple more fairway bunkers are in order. The condition of the course was terrific, greens in particular were in very good order. In summary , i played the course on a horrendous october day and saw so many good things that i cannot wait for a warm dry day in april so i can come back and see it in all its glory.I know we will receive a warm welcome from the pro and play a course of some quality.

have just returned from playing this course and would just like to say that it's truely a wonderful test of golf. used a 2 fore 1 ticket which worked out at £20 each....what a bargin....even at £40 each i would say it's worth it...has to be one of the best kept courses in kent....used every club in the bag and the course makes you work for your score...not 1 hole looked the same....club staff were friendly as was the head pro Nigel ( VERY HELPFUL ) great food to....if your looking for a great course to play in Kent you won't go to far wrong with this place....just come back from playing the Belfry and the greens and fairways at cherry lodge weren't to far away from there great condition...

Amazing regeneration of a once tired golf club. I first played a few years back and was not impressed, however, I have recently played the course again and was pleasantly surprised. Apparently the improvements are due to a new management team. Good for them. I'd highly recommend a visit.

The previous comments are a bit harsh, The course is not the greatest, but I'v played worst. First played 5 years ago and recently returned and was surprised at the improvement.

I put on a critical report a couple of years ago, but for some mysterious reason it has been removed. From memory, a dull repetitive course, with an apology for a clubhouse. Very municipal feel.
