Falkirk Tryst Golf Club

My mate Billy & I played Falkirk Tryst G.C. on Wed.13th March on a cool overcast day. As we tend to play different courses all over Scotland and beyond, this was our first visit, and from the outset it was a pleasure. We were offered a rate of £12.50 each, which is fantastic value. All of the holes had summer greens, and the flat terrain even had great drainage, with the feel of a links course. Although there are no outstanding holes, it is a short but testing course. Visitors have access to the locker rooms as well as the appealing clubhouse. The closing 3 holes are somewhat of a disappointment, but overall it is a very pleasant course.

Played this course on 23rd October, the course was in great shape after recent heavy rain with only one temp green and full tees in use. Its not a long course at only five and a half thousand yards off the yellows, its relatively flat but is heavily bunkered with many deep pot bunkers on the fairways and around the greens. The greens had been worked on but were in pretty good condition for the time of year and even though I thoroughly enjoyed my round I would say this course is an absolute crackerjack in the summer months. The pro shop was well stocked and the staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all at twelve sheets for a round I would say this course was tremendous value and I'd recommend it to anyone.
