An excellent track with some well guarded greens from natural relief and strategic bunkering. Easy location too being just off M1 and near the M25. A must if in the area!

Very nicely presented course, with excellent greens and tees. Overall, quite a nice challenge.Every hole has something different. We agreed we'd be keen to play it again, which we can't say for all courses we've played!

Played here during the last week of March, the first time since May 2007, on the County card paying £20.00 per head, even though there were 20 people no further discount was forthcoming. A few of us had played here before, which was a good thing, as the signage is quite poor, particularly from the 12 green to the 13th tee (its across the car park towards the practise area) Even heading for the first tee could do with some better signs. There was no information forthcoming from the Pro-shop about drop zones around new tree plantations, or whether one could attend the flag as winter rules were quite properly in operation. The 150 yard posts were nicely visible and seemed accurate. We found the fairways in very poor condition, large areas bereft of grass and looking quite tatty. The greens would appear to have suffered with a disease that has left great circles of patchy grass, it is to be hoped that it has been treated in time. Several of the greens were quite sodden and water appeared around your shoes as one crossed them, perhaps there is a drainage problem. I believe there had been quite heavy rain over night, and perhaps that caused the very compact sand in all the bunkers. Most of the par threes were played off mats, but I have to say they were very good, and of the type that allowed you to insert a tee peg anywhere across the surface, they were also placed on solid concrete bases just to the side of the main tee box’s other clubs could learn from this. After the first 4/5 holes I got to grips with the surface of the greens and putted quite well, coming in with 35 points with one blob. The club house is excellent, nice changing rooms, showers with fresh towels supplied. Most of us had very nice snacks from a very efficient kitchen at quite reasonable prices. Would I return? Yes, but I think only in the summer when hopefully the course should be in better condition. It is in a relatively quite area, with some lovely houses flanking the opening holes but they don’t impinge on play, it was nice to notice the lack of rabbit and mole damage around the course in general, a very pleasant location.

Played here April 09 . I only came here as it was just £15 using a county card & because i'd never played it before .So i had no real expectations but i came away having enjoyed it . It's a fairly straightforward type course elevated by it's overall superb conditioning .The presentation really was 1st class .Double cut criss cross fairways ,which were lovely to play off & beautiful greens & surrounds. The holes go along very pleasantly & then you go across a country lane & play the last 6 around the clubhouse side .These end holes are more hilly in nature & weren't as enjoyable .I'm sure these last holes were the original first 6 & that they've changed the configuration .I would have preferred to have got these holes out of the way first . Most of the holes are well designed with very good bunker positioning . Good value food afterwards . I probably wouldn't play it again but that wouldn't stop me recommending it as it turned out to be a pleasant surprise . Kevin B.

I had the pleasure of playing recently and it must be said it is exceptional. The greens were fantastic and there are some quite superb holes and the width of the fairways was perfect. Every one I came across was very polite and welcoming, I can't wait to play again.

Since previous feedback report - July 2000 - substantial course and clubhouse improvements undertaken, the latter ensuring a welcome atmosphere for all discerning golfers. Good test of golf for variety of handicaps and pleasant course for visiting societies to enjoy.

Quite an interesting parkland course. Some nice holes on back nine but some fairly dull up-and-down ones on front. Greens in very good condition and fast although fairly flat. No water but some good bunkering. Very mature course with lots of trees. Not particularly good value at £26 and clubhouse atmosphere stuffy and unwelcoming. Worth trying if you can afford it.
