Great little course. Not long, but tricky. It was in good condition throughout. Very cheap with county card.Recommended.

Played on 16/9/13. Knighton Heath is a hilly heathland course in excellent condition, especially the greens which I found particularly difficult to read the borrows. Friendly members, nice food (try the large cottage pie!) and tremendous value. In my opinion, better than most of the parkland courses I have played in the Bournemouth/Poole area.

Played here February ,2010 (£11.50 using a county card). Down to earth, welcoming parkland / heathland club set on high ground .Not in the top bracket but good fun & enjoyable all the same .Doesn't look up to much when you arrive with the clubhouse & pylons. We were going to play Parkstone as part of a golf trip but due to half the holes being closed due to frost ended up playing here with no such problems ,which turned out to be a decent short notice replacement. We started on a cold day in sun ,had 20 minutes of snow half way round & finished in bright sunshine ! The front 9 is hilly in places , narrow & strategic .I preferred the back 9 where you could use your driver more . There's quite a good variety of holes here .The 9th is one of the hardest par 4's i've played( long & tight) ,12 plays from an elevated tee then to an elevated green ,13 is a great 111 yard dinky uphill par 3 & the finishing holes play on more level ground with interesting humpy /hollow fairways. Good food in the clubhouse . This isn't quite in the same calibre of the more highly regarded clubs in the area but can be a worthy 2nd string addition on a golf trip to the area. Kevin B.
