Played this course on 6th July 2014. Very enjoyable links course. 9 holes with two sets of teas does make for some holes feeling very different when playing the second time around. Not a particularly long course, but the wind and rough can be punishing. Playing straight is definitely recommended! Greens were a bit wooly for July but were perfectly playable. At £12 for 18 holes, it's a bargain for pretty decent links golf.

I wrote the last review on this course nearly 5 years ago and was surprised to find no newer ones. I have played there several times and the course is always interesting. On my most recent visit on 4th April a very strong East wind completely altered the course which was designed for a westerly wind.I have in the past used a 9 iron at the short 3rd but needed a well hit rescue club to raech this time. The greens were astonishingly good after the recent snow and the current green fee of £10 for as much golf as you want to play is a real bargain. It's a pity there are only 9 holes but well worth a visit.

Excellent course at a ridulously low price. It is difficult to hit many of the small greens and there is the need for bump and run shots. The final hole normally played into the prevailing wind is a real challenge from the normal tees. I would happily play the extra 50 yards from the back to make it a par 5 from the back tees.

I played Rhyl for the first time ever last week and was really impressed. The course was in excellent condition and the greens superb. I had never played a links course before and at first misssed the tree lined fairways I was used to, but soon found that the course had more than enough challenges to overcome. And a great pleasure it was trying. Everybody in my party thoroughly enjoyed the day.
