Played here September '14 . I didn't particularly like this course .Almost every hole involved either a hill or a slope & i found it tiring to play .Course is quite compact & some holes quite narrow.Also , quite a lot of walking between greens & tees. Th holes are mainly tree lines & the ambience/surroundings are quite pleasant. The last par 3 is the 10th & there are then 7 par 4's in a row so not very balanced. Th pro was very welcoming . The standard green fee is £30 (although we paid half this using a green free voucher ) & i don't think it's worth this considering what you get & i wouldn't choose to play this course again. I thoroughly enjoyed this testing course. The tight fairways certainly focus your mind

A short course, yes, but very capable of making fool of you, We played in the second week of April, and the condition was excellent.The green were fast and true, fairways good, and the 'Half-way house', very welcome after playing the more undulating part of the course. The Members were very welcoming and friendly both on-course and in the clubhouse, as was the Pro, who gives good tips on how to play the first hole, a drive-able par 4. The Par 3s are demanding. Food, drink,and service first class, also very reasonable. I will certainly play Romsey again, but would recommend from May onwards as the course in bloom must be one of the most picturesque in the area, but play it you must, anytime.

A short and picturesque course. Moving the hilly holes to the front nine is a good move as it gets them out of the way, but means that the back nine is par fours and a par five. Good facilities. Food was excellent.

Short, hilly, picturesqe, pretty, friendly. Played it for the first time in last month despite living 15 mins away for the last 12 years. Should have played it sooner, I'll be going back again.
