What a hidden gem, great course, mostly wide fairways but still plenty of challenges, and great value at £20. The clubhouse has been refurbished and was superb, and also great value.Very friendly staff in all areas. We loved it so much we played two days running. Give it a go!

Played here Fri 19th August 2005. I was booked to play Tenby(10 mins away) @ 4.30 for a twilight and thought I would try Trefloyne to warm up. Off the main road the drive to the clubhouse is thru woods and very nice and when you first set eyes on the magnificent clubhouse you really feel ready for a good game. Unfortunatly it all goes a bit wrong from there!!!! When I got out of the car you notice that there is still some building work to be finished on the clubhouse. There are no signs as to where the Pro Shop is located and I walked around aimlessley for 10 mins trying to locate it. I went to a building that I presumed was it to find it was the toilets. I asked someone and they said the Pro Shop was above the toilets. I will say the shop is very well stocked and the staff pleasant. I paid my £20 for the green fee. I asked for a course planner, but was told they dont have one but there is a hole plan on the back of the card. OK I thought, lets get to it. Standing on the 1st you notice the great views, but also how open and new the course is. I put this out of my mind and started my round. Be warned there are alot of shots from the T and fairway where you are hitting towards a marker post. The hole layout on the card does not show it from the T so it is hard to guess which way the hole goes. The front 9 was OK until I got to the 8th. In front of you is a marker post so I T'd up the ball and struck it towards the marker. I am a long hitter and knew this was a good connection. Upon walking over the hill I saw 3 gentlemen standing in the fairway. I knew straight away my ball would have gone near or past them, and in fact it flew past on of their heads (I was very lucky!!). There is a bell on the right of the fairway, but no sign on the T to wait to hear it. I appologised and played thru them. The 15th is a joke of a hole. Standing on the T there is a marker post in front of you and one to the right slightly.(Only upon playing the 17th do U realise the marker is for that fairway!!!!) Again the card is no use to tell you where the hole goes. If you ever play here take note at about 170 yards the hole is a sharp dog-leg left, down to the green. The course etqiuete is a joke. On the web-ste it states "Visitor Policy - Always welcome - Subject to adherence to rules and etiquette of golf and dress code" I saw a 2-Ball with both guys wearing jeans, one had a faded pair on and was playing in Vans trainers and a round neck T-Shirt with a big Nike tick Logo on the front!!!!! And in a 4-Ball there was another player in jeans. It was just a joke. If it was £10 then fair enough if you have 3-4hrs to kill. Otherwise avoid. Out of eveyone playing, and it was quite busy, it must be the worst course I have played for the standard of golf. Hackers Unite !!!!

Trefloyne Golf Course April 2004. What a treat to discover This terrific golf course. From the moment we entered the entrance gates there was a sense of calm and beauty. The buildings forming the excellent club facilities are positioned slightly elavated form the playing areas and look out over the spectacular course. Unfortunately we only had time to play the 1st. 9 but will definately return to play much more. The condition of the tee greens, fairways, and putting greens was excellent and just urge one to play better golf, that of course is another matter. The calm and beauty of the course makes up for the frustrations associated with the game. The value was also great. A return is a must!

Rolling parkland with a pleasant view of Tenby town and the sea beyond. Front nine could do with work on some fairways and greens and a number of greens slope away from the approach – bump & run the order of the day. The back nine was much better with some really nice holes. The course was dead. At £22 to play on a quiet Tuesday in July and no 2-fore-1, suspect others were playing elsewhere. If you’re visiting the area, do the same – try Tenby or Haverfordwest GCs.
