played on 18th Nov 2011. Fairways were long and hadnt been cut in a while, i can tell because i used to be a greenkeeper in Scotland, The tees were the same, its a pity because its a nice little course with reasonable greens but hit any shot from the tees and your ball just plugs into the fairway and needs the mud wiped of it after every shot. it was cheap to play but i would rather pay an extra 10 or 20£ and play another course nearby and there are a few crackers. I only used 4 clubs all day as its pretty short, a driver, 5 iron, wedge and pputter will suffice. All in all i would give it 5 out of 10. its ideal if your a beginner or someone who wants a quick, cheap game of unchallenging golf.

Just got home from playing this course. If you were to look on their website, it says that the course is mantained to a high standard. This is not the case as the fairway grass is just as long as the rough! We played the 18 holes and not once did we see any sort of maintenance going on which is disapointing as it is in need of it badly!

Staying at the lovely Trevose, just up the road, just couldn't resist a change and as Treloy was on of the few courses in Cornwall that I had as yet not visited, a short trip down down to this course next door to Newquay airport was taken. Not expecting too much as UK golf describe it as "executive golf",and also as this was in the first week of March after a long and hard winter, even for Cornwall, but waht a pleasant surprise was in store. Far from an "executive course", Treloy is in fact a full blown 9 hole course with 5 par 4's and 4 x par 3's and with a par of 32 for each 9. Standing on the first, you immediately have to get used to something that is not seen at trevose, trees, lots of them, and on the side of each and every fairway and if you are not carefull, or accurate, yep, you will be in them!. The 3rd is a uphill dog leg left where the green cannot be seen, and position off the tee is very important indeed, likewise, the 6th is another dogleg left, with trees either side.........position again as the position of the drive is all important. All in all, a very playable club for a quick 9 holes, greens tees and fairways in very good coindition, especially for the time of year, well worth a visit

A delightful experience, a nice way to spend a few hours on holiday All of the course in a great condition, despite some very bad weather during the proceeding days We played the course on 27th sept teeing off at 8am only 3 degree centigrade but sunny and no winds - excellent

I played this course recently and the welcome i got was far from amicable. The locals were quite nasty and one even stole my ball for accidently hitting a wayward shot despite shouting fore! The course itself was really well kept although provided not much of a challange with the longest hole measuring a mere 330yds. Overall i wouldn't waste your money playing this course as they are many other fine examples in the surrounding area.

I have found the course to be of typical coastal standard of that when the wind gets up it really gets up! But the course is a great little course with plenty to ponder. This course makes you want to come back time and again just so you can say you eventually beat it. Well looked after and very friendly.

This is a real gem, and well worth the £9 for a round. There has obviously been a lot of money and thought put into the layout and quality of the course. It plays like a US style parkland course and was immaculately maintained. Every hole is interesting and the course provides a good test. I played it in early September and had a very enjoyable round.

A friendly welcome awaits you at this 'fun' course. It's not that challenging - 5 par threes and 4 par fours - but there are some nice holes, particularly 2 through 5. Our golf society always likes to 'round off the weekend' with a relaxing game here. Try the pasties when you finish (I ate all the pies!).
