Played yesterday on a warm and breezy day - echo the previous posters' thoughts in that this is an interesting lay out with some challenging holes and others offering decent scoring opportunities. The course was in fine condition, the rough is not too penal but there are a lot of trees lining some of the fairways which snaffle the wayward drive. I played as a members' guest so will have had the benefit of a discounted green fee - however, I was impressed. As the course meanders around a hillside, at the upper levels, views of the surrounding region are quite spectacular - I never knew there was a hill in Warrington ! The clubhouse has a nice balcony outside the bar, overlooking the 18th green.

Played 14/05/2008 on a lovely sunny day, made to feel as welcome as could be expected. This was my first visit to the Club and hopefully not my last. Not the longest course by any stretch of the imagination, a couple of par 4s are driveable and all the par 5s offer good birdie opportunities, but some fairly tight fairways make straight hitting a must. Greens in very good nick for the time of year, fairly quick and quite firm, but at the same time receptive to good approach shots. A couple of the views on this course are quite spectacular, with the "Steeple" hole sticking in the mind - stunning. It's a well laid out track, meandering through woodland and incorporating good use of water hazards and other natural hazards. The food was excellent and the drinks not overly expensive. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only let down was a pretty poor choice of stock available in the Pro shop - anything that was worth buying clothing wise was either XXL or small (Poulter's range in particular), whilst anything that was available in most sizes was extremely dull and clearly catered for "the older end" (without being intentionally rude). All in all though, a good day out, well worth the trip.

played the course on 30/07/00 and it was in superb condition.the only critisism i have is that there are too many blind holes for first time players but this did not stop our enjoyment of a beautiful woodland course.the clubhouse, catering and bar facilities are also excellent.
