Turned up on a Wednesday lunchtime to see if I could get a game, the door to the clubhouse was unlocked but the place was deserted...except for another couple that had turned up with the same idea so we went out as a 3-ball. Found out that there was an honesty box, sign the book and drop the money in an envelope and away you go. Course was a good links, wind was blowing, some challenging holes and touch rough, heather and gorse. Greens were in good condition. A few holes back towards the clubhouse run alongside the coast, one particularly tough hole was (I think) the 7th, played into the wind, uphill to the green. Got to hit it straight or you'll lose a few balls. Some members were gonig out later in the afternoon when we finished, the bar was open and we were all made welcome.

A challenging and enjoyable seaside links, with great views, especially to the north. Fairways and greens are well kept, with deep gorse in the heavy rough, so take plenty of balls if you have trouble keeping it straight! Highlights include the long 5th and 9th, the cliffside 7th and 8th and the beachside 11th and 12th. There is a large practice area complete with green and binker, and a putting area. Clubhouse facilities are good, with changing facilities (with shower), bar, snooker room and function room.
