Canigou Etang is a very nice but challenging 18 hole links course and well worth a visit. As you would expect when the wind blows you have a real test on your hands but a links course is never for the feint of heart. There are some very good holes and if the day is clear the snow tipped Mount Canigou is a striking sight. The clubhouse is very nice, food good and staff very helpful. Beware though, they sometimes split the course into three nines. The third nine is parkland and called Saint Cyprien. Do not involve this in your 18, it is well below the standard of Canigou Etang.
Nice link course. Need some distance. A very long against the wind hole 8 (560m from white tees). Not spoiled by urbanisation. Many water hasards. Very enjoyable if not too much transmontana wind. On many holes some caution is required for medium players. If not trouble is waiting for you! But if played according to your skills, and if distance is not a problem for you, a nice score can be made after a few rounds. The 9 holes cours is very nice with a lot of shadow by trees (nice in summer time). On this 9-holes the wind is no longer a difficulty, and distances are feasible for all players.
