Really good course with some interesting holes, some are hilly on the back 9! Very friendly and helpful staff. Greens are not perfect but how many are? Great value for money, ring for prices as the website prices are not correct and higher! Love this course, great muni course, better than a lot of private ones I have played. Have not used the clubhouse recently so cannot comment.

The greens are the worst for 20 years. Too fast and bumpy, totally impossible to stop the ball near the hole. A 6 foot putt went 20 feet past. The pin positions are a joke, in corners, impossible to get close. I have no idea who does this. The winter tee's which we play for at least 5 months of the year are a disgrace. The actual layout of the course is good. It is a good challenge. If we people maintaining it who knew anything about golf then it would be fine.

Played here following the July floods of 2006, the course has only recently reopened so there were many patches of fairway where the floods had killed off the grass. Luckily I avoided them all so it didn't affect play at all. I enjoyed the round although the course is very much a council affair - the tee markers are made of sports cones and the pins from plumbing pipe.

pretty good course for a council course. Bit boring though, and not that challenging, but good for begginners.

Sutton is a great course - and good value. Bear in mind this is a council course! Saying that is is well maintained and has many varied holes. Plus you can get a craking bacon banjo on the 6th tee!
