If you have not played Carluke yet, this is a must if you visit Lanakshire. The 11th & 12th are the best 2 holes in the region, which you can see on the web site via google type in the name of the golf club(.com). Very friendly club for outings and food is superbe. Highly recomended.

I played this course for the first time on Thursday 10/06/2004 in a Seniors Open competition. It was most enjoyable but with some quirky holes namely the par 3 8th where you have to hit over a very tall tree and the 11th and 12th which are equally unusual in their construction. Under normal conditions not too difficult a course but I think the greenkeeper thought we were playing on the final day at Augusta with the placing of his pin positions. The quality of the catering was the best I have ever had at any golf club.

Carluke Golf Club is a very enjoyable course, it has great juinor facilities, not so long ago a six hole course was built for practice and some of the younger juinors. Every saturdat a weekly competition is held for the juinors, the pro Craig Ronald is an exellent pro and it is worth taking a few lessons from him

Carluke golf club is a good golf course although there has been four new greens layed in the last two winters. the 4th, 5th,13th and 15 greens have been relaid. The course is now starting to improve and is good value for money. you can get great lessons from the new pro Craig Ronald and are welcomed by the barstaff and can get great meals from the kitchen. overall this cource is good value for money and well worth a visit if you are in the area.

This course is great every hole is good especially the 11th & 12th holes which can unfortunately spoil a good round of golf. Carluke golf course is in good condition even though they are making a few changes. Ricky Forrest gives some great lessons, the clubhouse is great. I really recomend a visit to this great golf course

CARLUKE is an interesting layout with a couple of distinctive holes particularly the 11th and 12th only measuring 360 yds in total with 1 combined par of 7 they wreck many a score every week.It is enjoyable to play and you will be made very welcome in the clubhouse by Jean and Margaret.

I am sorry that I have not been to your course. The reason for sending a note is that my maternal grandmother emmigrated to Canada in 1906. Her name was Janet Young. Her uncles owned pubs by the name of Peacock Cross. Her father's name was William Young. Her mother's maiden name was Cassels If any one has any information that might help me track down any family my email address is. [email protected] Thank you for any help. Kelly Stuart
