1 review of Aintree Golf Centre

Currently Aintree is a 9 hole course that plays inside of the famous race course. There are plans for a second 9, but there is precious little sign of it actually happening at the moment. The club boast that this is the longest 9 hole course in the country. What they don't advertised is that the the 5 long holes are all straight and devoid of any features whatsoever. One used to have a hedge across it (like the jumps on the race course) but they've recently removed it for some reason. The course isn't wholly lacking merit though - the three par 3s are all very different from one another, and the greens are always in play and always in very good condition. For less than a tenner at the weekend it is worth a look, but due to the lack of variety in the majority of the holes you will be unlikely to want to play it regularly.
