like donabate it is good to be able to drop in unannounced and play, which is appreciated in this day and age when some courses are really pretentious like they dont need your money.very good value for 20 euro.excellent true greens.well maintained.takes the weather well, city west was closed.on negative side, very slow as alot of novices out and too many holes crossing each other in a dangerous way.

My first taste of links golf, Fantastic! at this price you cant go wrong. The front nine are very tough the back nine a little easier. If your in Dublin play this course, the best public course i have played.

A succession of rugby injuries & subsequent long-term lay-offs have left me with a mid-high handicap, although I can be a little bit better than that - if only by being able to draw on best part of 20 years playing experience when it matters. However, even on a bright July afternoon, with a very stiff North-Easterly howling in off the Irish Sea - I can honestly say that the first 9 holes are the toughest I have ever faced. There ain't a course planner, and all your eyes see is shi ... - gorse! The Golden Rule is if you see safety, aim for it. This may be 110 yards (still the best option), or a 240 yard carry (hit & hope - no option). Just like a Playstation game, the locals will tell you of a hidden plateau here, or a path through the minefield there. Do you feel lucky ? Like many Links courses, the majority of the back 9 is packed into the land available (in this case the field over the road), and therefore quite tame. However, the 17th & 18th are proper, and serve to remind you of what has been either a pure joy (flat calm), or pure hell (anything other than flat calm).

just back from playing this course for the second time and enjoyed even more.. 10 quid for pure links golf is great value for money ...views on the first few tees are outstanding....this time the wind was blowing so more of a challenge...will play this every time i go to visit my brother who stays over there..

Corballis Golf links is a superb course. If you play it on a clear day the views will match any Links course. Once you play it you will want to return again and again and again.........................

I have played Corballis Links many times over the years and as public golf courses go, it is one of the best I have ever played. It is a short course, about 5000 yds in total. The first nine is the real test, especially the 2nd and 3rd holes. The 3rd is a very long par 4 which is a dog legs to the right off the tee. This hole used to be a par5. The second nine is a lot easier with about 4 par 3's. The greens are always in excellent condition and if the weather is good the views are superb. I have been told many times that Bernard Langer enjoyed playing this course whenever he was in Dublin.

an excellent course which would scare you at first you need to be careful with all your tee shots on the par fours and the reward is, the huge amount of putting surface to recieve your second shot a delight to play, a great challenge greens where in magnificient condition, truly like a carpet [but tricky] a course which is highly under estimated and is without doubt one of the best to play in the area " I SHALL RETURNNNNnnn" thank you
