Golf de Poniente

This was the first course played on our recent trip to Mallorca. An excellent opening course with many wide fairways allowing you to ease yourself into your round. There is water on probably six or so holes so you have to keep your wits about you. A very enjoyable course. The Cortijo style club house is also excellent.

Another quality Majorcan golf course-Is there any other sort? Longer than it appears so don't play it after a decent lunch. Golf de Poniente has fabulous mountains as a backdrop and fantastic fairways and greens all round, with the strangest wildlife I've ever seen. Multi coloured Cockerels will climb on your buggy while you're playing a shot-disconcerting at first, but kind of endearing later on. Highly recommended, but it is long.
