Played on the first day of our annual trip to the Costa in March, our first visit to Paraiso. Unfortunately, the weather was not good and we played in steady rain all day, though it was our last spot of rain all week. I would call this a fair for all handicappers opening day course. Pretty forgiving pretty much all the way around, you can blow the cobwebs away on what I'd describe as a fairly easy walking holiday golf course. It was well presented and the greens ran very true and surprisingly quickly considering the amount of water that had been put down. A warm welcome in the pro shop and a very warm welcome in the clubhouse - the tapas was excellent! The cost represents good value and I would suggest we will revisit Paraiso at some point in the future.

Just returned from a week playing El Paraiso for 4th year running. The work is still going on and the workmen are still oblivious to golfers playing the holes. There is a compulsory drop required from the front of the 18th but with nno obvious dropping zone which caused a bit of argument in one match. The fairways were also pretty bare in places. Play was slow at times with two tee starts and little evidence of marshals. However, this is still an enjoyable course to play.

Returned here after a year with a society whilst in Spain this August. Much improved on my last vist (see below) some very nice holes with hugely evaluated tees, making for some very pleasant golf. Course greatly improved although still some work going on - a huge trough being dug in front of the 13th green with workmen oblivious to golfers trying to play approach shots over their heads! That said I would definitely return, geat value in the summer we paid 50€ including a buggy.

Played this course in August and can see that it could make for a lovely round. There was a lot of work going on when we played and i am sure that when this is completed the course will be greatly improved. Unfortunately, the work going on did not appear to be addressing the huge problems with the course, greens nearly unplayable bare of any grass and scorched with the tees nearly as bad. That said it still represents good value for money at only 45 euros including buggy during the summer months.Hi there, me again. I have played Drayton about 5 times since my last review.(below). I now disagree with my 'easy' comment. It is far from easy, the trees have matured nicely and the defenition is striking. The greens are absolutely awesome! They where far superior to the greens at Frilford Heath around the corner, which I had played the day before. They where running at about 10 on the stimpmeter which is pretty fast for a members course. As I commented earlier this course has toughened up. They have built 3 new Holes which have now opened for play. They are also planning a few more alterations for the next 2 years. The course is now TOUGH. And plans to get TOUGHER!!! Go and play it.

A fine course which allows players to go for shots without fear of being unfairly punished. Well conditioned with a variety of holes to keep players interested for the full 18 holes

Having just returned from playing El Paraiso 5 times in the last 6 days, I can confidentally say that whatever standard of golfer you are you will find parts of the course that will test you. The 1st and 10th holes ease you gently in to the course before you get to the more testing holes, in particular the long up-hill, par 5, 15th will certinly seperate the men from the boys. Also, you will never find greens like El Paraiso in England. Even in the morning when there was a little dew on them they were still lightning fast; it was like putting on a sheet of glass! All in all a thoroughly enjoyable course.

Although we played it on a particularly hot day in July, the course itself was well watered and therefore did not play excessively long. Many interesting and varied holes, especially the 11th and 15th. Facilities and clubhouse also good - well worth the green fee and would recommend it.
