Council-run course, very cheap - but it shows. Not very well kept, and as others have said the layout is confusing. Having said that, it does have a number of interesting holes due to the doglegs and hilly nature of the course. If it was a privately run club with proper funding and improved conditions it would be fine. For those used to playing serious courses it may seem laughable, but for beginners or for some cheap practice it's ok.
Green fees 9 pounds, you get what you pay for. In this case a little less. The course is badly looked after and shows obvious signs of under-investment. Putting is a lottery. Interesting layout and a few OK holes but it is also quite confusing with no signage between tees and the fairway on the 10th that doglegs off without warning on to a 'different' fairway. Not recommended I'm afraid.
Rubbish course not worth the money especially in the winter. I played on it mid july and the 12 and 17th hole was flooded and the green fees were still at the same price.
As a member of linn park golf club i get to see the course all year round The course peaks during summer as expected and usualy the fairways and greens are very good. However when heav rain comes the course becomes a bit muddy in parts and the greens can be fairly damp. The course offers a good challege for golfers of all levels with its long par 3's and its score killing hole No.10 with a tight dogleg that forces any1 but the longest hitter to lay up.
good course well looked after, value for money
This golf course is good for the money. The fairways and greens are very well kept. The bunkers are well placed and with some elevated greens makes it a bit more challenging.Overall very good value for money and would make a great day out for any golfer. Would recommend this golf course to anyone.
Played first week in May 06 £10.50 course in fair condition the tee's let down the overall standard as they were very worn.
Areal gem this one as far as municipal courses go. Nice fairways, greens immaculate and bunkers with sand so white you would think you were in the Sahara!! Have played all the other Glasgow Municipal courses but keep getting drawn back to this one. Can be a bit wet in places after heavy rain but good value for money.
