Villeneuve sur Lot Golf & Country Club

I played there with two guests on Wednesday 11 November 2009 (Rememberance Day). The two greenfees were on a special because of the "jour férié" but I believe a similar rate applies to a Saturday morning. You'll have to contact the club for those details but when it comes to value (approx. 50 euros for both greenfees), it can't possibly get much better. It was a really rainy day but the course was far from waterlogged. What really made me want to post this course comment, however, was the quality of the greens. The greens were absolutely immaculate for any time of year... and fast too!

A very pretty course set in rolling countryside. The accommodation was fantastic, as was the restaurant on site, where they do a 3 course lunch/dinner for 13.50€! Also it was supprisingly quiet for the time of year that we visited. PS: The greens were a revelation!

A hilly course set in very nice surroundings. Found the course to be a good test. The greens are in excellent condition and very fast. Water comes into play on a number of the holes but in the main it is a relatively straightforward course while still remaining a good challenge. For the money the green fees are worth it but the club house prices were extrodinary (9 euros for a gin and tonic and a large glass of lemonade!)

A hilly, very pretty course; quite long with good fairways and fast greens. Course fee to play all day.
