1 review of Benamor Golf
Our party of 12 stayed in Tavira, in May 2010, and played a number of courses in the area [both Portugal and Spain] Without question Benamor is a very pretty course, whilst not long at 6100yds off the whites,it provides enough of a challenge for all levels of ability. The course is undulating but not hilly and is easily walkable for most people. Holes of note are the 5th which is a par 5 stroke index 1 where you need to get a good drive away to avoid the trees on your left - once that's been achieved it's a fairly straightforward hole. The 8th which is the best par 3 on the course and the 18th - another par 5 with out of bounds on both sides and a couple of well placed trees encroaching into the fairway. 2 final thoughts - The condition of the course was superb - in particular the fairways and, finally, the service was top notch - even stayed for a couple of drinks and something to eat [something we had long stopped doing due to prices] As with all courses in the area we never felt as if we were only there to be ripped off as you are in Vilamoura. If you are in the area [or even in Vilanmoura] it's well worth making the effort.
