1 review of Brocton Hall Golf Club
A mature parkland course with a fine early 18th C club house. The course is unusual in having no par 5s for the men (the 6th is a par 5 for the ladies). The fun starts at the second hole, a long drive leaves a shortish iron over a valley to an elevated sloping green; OB right. The 3rd is a tiny elevated par 3 which should not be taken lightly, anything right or back is likely to be lost. The 4th is a short par 4 with a medium iron blind in to a valley, grassy hill left, OB right; then a wedge or 9 iron approach to an elevated green. Each hole has something to offer. After a drink at watering hole at the 9th tee, a 180 yard par-3 with the club house lake in play to a green encircled by Old Acre Brook. Look forward to the 12th, a long par 4 driving over the shoulder of a hill to a down sloping fairway, thence a long club over a stream to an elevated left to right green...very difficult. The back nine comprises 7 par 4s on the bounce before a teasing 160 yard par 3 over a pool, wonderful in the Spring with banks of daffodils. On a clear summer day, a classic English golf course with a lot to offer.
