played at this course on 18 04 09 and must say i was very impressed. the course i found was quite difficult especialy the 10 11 and 12 holes as it was quite breezey. very nicely kept course nice clubhouse and bar. the price was about average for this area around £30 pounds but was well worth the money. i can thoroughly recommend this course i do not think anyone would be dissapointed. this is a very popular course i found it was better to tee off later in the day (3pm) when there was few people behind us.
I played this course last week with a group of 17 other like minded idiots in near freezing conditions. There wasn't frost, but the water in the lakes was stiff. The course was nice enough and good value, although there was a bit of a 'back and forth' feel to it. From my perspective, the last 6 holes were far better than the previous 12, and this added to the overall enjoyment of the day - it's nice to finish on some nice holes. For late December, the course was in good condition with no mats or temporary greens. The greens were generally quite quick, but to me seemed to be variable in pace. This however could have been 'operator error' - I have been known to 3-putt more than once before! The ham, egg and chips that followed was very nice. We had taken advantage of a 'special winter deal' and it was well worth it. Overall, a good day was enjoyed by all.
