Helsby Golf Club

I'm a member of a local course and over the past year I have played Helsby four times as a change to my own course. The course is a gem. Its not long, its flat, but it is beautifully laid out, demands accuracy, and the greens are true and quick. It is never going to replace Delamere, Eaton or Sandiway, in my affections but in my opinion it is the best of the rest.

I have played here a couple of times recently and was really impressed. As the previous guy states the course is quite flat but it is always challenging and never boring. The greens are superb and roll true with enough contours to keep you thinking. It's the kind of course where if your playing well you can get a good score(unlike Frodsham down the road where Tiger would hit 80). We use the reduced twilight rate of £15 which is great value. Never been in the clubhouse so can't comment. On the whole highly recommended.

Great Course! Surprised it was so flat but quite a challenge compared to other courses we've played in the area. Definitely will return. Made our day even better winning 3&2 on the 16th, ha,ha!
