our second course on our golf trip on the 29th april in scarborough and again lovely weather and course was in really good condition. the course is split in two by a fly over and this was the one negative of the course in my opinion. the "inland" holes are beautiful and i even stated to a member if the club could by the land behind the last 4 holes and develop it it would make it a better course as it felt a little disjointed to me. the "links" side of the course didnt feel like it flowed properly but thats not taking anything away from the course. its still worth playing if youre in the area. again, the greens were in great condition along with the fairways and every member we spoke to were so friendly. i can highly recommend the home made soup also! great clubhouse and balcony, good starting hole and superb finishing hole probably make up for the "links" side in my opinion. overall 7 out of 10
Played this week on our golf trip. Lovely course as stated in previous reports, however when you cross the road to get to some holes I personally thought these were inferior to the others on the Clubhouse side which may I add are tremendous. Great views from clubhouse of the 1st and 18th, friendly members, some lovely houses line the 18th and the pro was the happiest I have ever met. Definate return and if your in the area play
Played in July 2010 all day for £30. An absolute pleasure to play. Course in great condition, fairways lush and greens fast but true. Course starts off as parkland before you go out to the Linksy holes on the cliff top before coming back onto the parkland side for the back 9. Talked to a few members on course and in the clubhouse and they are a credit to the club, very friendly and accomadating of visitors. Will be back at some point to play this gem of a course.
absolutely fantastic course even though it had poured down for 12 hours before we played.Great facilities and definately returning next year with society. If you love your golf you will love this course and if you play bad the views will make it worthwhile anyway
Superb. We were made welcome from the moment we arrived. We particularly liked the friendly welcome we received from club members. The course was in great condition especially considering the unusually wet weather. The greens were first class. It is like playing two different courses, parkland to start and finish, with the stunning views from the cliff tops when you go 'over the road'. Excellent value for money.
played 20/09/06 out ov the 3 we played filey/kirbymoorside and this i liked this the best, only prob was they had drilled the greens which spoilt it abit, sum great hole esp in 50 to 60 mph winds 8 ov us had to hit a driver to the par3 6th 160yrds and all came up shortish lol thats how strong the wind wer wiv variouses handicaps from 6 to 26,very friendly members even the chef stayed on to cook us a meal afterwards was supposed to shut at 5 but we pre booked at dinner and he stsyed on 4 us,going bac to play it when the greens are better sum great bunkers to get out ov 16th great hole and 18th reachable par5 in 2,sum driveable par4s wiv wind behind nice course nice people, oh and pro a gud laugh love him he great

Played course on 15/9/04 and 18/9/04. Excellent condition, especially the greens which were very true and fast. Secretary and the Professional Shop were extremely helpful and friendly. Great value on 2 fore 1. Needs a pedestrian crossing on the Filey Road though as crossing it is reminicent of a game of frogger!
June 9th 2004. A day ticket cost £30 and was great value as the course was in excellent condition from start to finish. I loved the links style holes "across the road" but had to run the gauntlet to get there and back as the road was extremely busy. The wind wasn't really a factor during our visit but I'm sure it could be on occasion. The last 4 holes provide a challenging finish but when the sun shines, the prospect of a beer on the clubhouse balcony keeps you going.
I went to this course last summer and thought it was excellent. The course was in good condition and the greens were awsome to putt on. The people were friendly (especially Tony Skingle) and the food was good. If i was you i would go to this course.
