Played this course on 10th Jan 2016. This is a little gem of a course if you live within 30 miles. A very good 9 hole links. The greens were excellent (and I mean excellent!) for the amount of wet weather we have had. The staff are friendly and it's all about the golf. The last few holes are quite straight but by then you are playing into a totally different wind so it is a good test. I'll come back and play this soon. Proper winter tees and £10 for 18 holes is great value (you can even get some soup after 9 to warm you up!).
Played end of last year (2010) weather, never played in conditions like it. one minute blue sky, cold, bright sun. looking north could see clouds of rain even hail coming quickly. second time on a links course. Not for the rip it and see it brigade. One course you had to think carefully before every shot. the back four holes a bit boring but more than made up for in the first half. Did not use the bar, closed by the time we finished mid aft. If in the area would def play again, would not travel just to play it.
played this week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Friendly and welcoming. I would definatley go back and play again
Canny liitle course and good value for £15 for a day ticket. We were lucky to play on a day when the wind was only coming gently off the North Sea but imagine very tough if its blowing a "hooly".Quite wide after the first 3 holes so you can let your shoulders open and rip it if you like !! Friendly little club house with a decent pint.
